White Dove Hospice Information
To receive care at White Dove Hospice, you must first learn basic information about the facility. You must also learn how to start receiving hospice care.
Most people begrudgingly attend hospice care due to the fact it’s a sign that death is in the near future. Still, for many people, attending hospice care for themselves or a loved one at one point and time is inevitable.
The White Dove Hospice staff makes sure to treat all patients and their loved ones as if they are their own family members. Hence the motto, “your family is our family.”
Prior to contacting a hospice center, the sick individual should receive a full health evaluation from a physician. The sick individual should also receive news about a terminal illness or health condition.
Once the sick individual receives an official health diagnosis, his or her loved one should contact a hospice center. You can contact White Dove Hospice over the phone or by email.
While communicating with a White Dove staff member, you must describe you or your loved one’s current health condition. Once the White Dove Hospice staff has on record what you or your loved one’s current health condition is along with any medications and care needs, the call will likely end. Soon though, someone at White Dove Hospice will get back in contact with you.
At this time, White Dove will inform you of the hospice care services that you’ll need. White Dove will also inform you of the cost of those services at White Dove Hospice.
Around this time, you should verify if the sick individual’s health insurance is accepted at White Dove Hospice. If it is, you must verify how much of the cost of the hospice care that the insurance will cover.
To verify insurance here at White Dove Hospice, go to the verify insurance page on the White Dove Hospice website. You can also consult a White Dove staff member over the phone or by email or verify your insurance in-person at the hospice center. Here at White Dove Hospice, Medicare Medical is an in-network insurance provider.
Once you’ve verified insurance, you’ll likely receive a date to enter hospice care. By that date, make sure that you’re ready to pay any necessary fees.
After beginning hospice care at White Dove, the patient and his or her loved ones will officially become members of the White Dove Hospice family. As White Dove Hospice family members, White Dove will check in with the patient and his or her loved ones regularly. In doing this, White Dove Hospice will make sure that you and your loved one’s physical and mental health needs are being met.
